JOB SUMMARY: The Endoscopy Scheduling Specialist is responsible for efficiently scheduling procedures in the Endoscopy Suite, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols. This role involves collecting accurate patient demographics and insurance information, prioritizing appointments based on medical needs, and collaborating with various care teams. Excellent customer service skills are essential for effective communication with patients and staff. The specialist will manage the Endoscopy schedule, address any issues, and assist with other duties as needed.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of experience in hospital admissions or a physician’s office is preferred, along with knowledge of healthcare insurance and medical terminology.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED; completion of a CMA program is preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current certification as a medical assistant or enrollment in the SPH CMA training program, with Basic Life Support certification required.

Aptitudes: Ability to communicate professionally, manage multiple tasks, work independently, and maintain accuracy in assignments.
