Job Description
WellMed Medical Group, a partner of the Optum Care network, is looking for a physician to join our Home & Supportive Care team in Hidalgo County, based in McAllen, Texas.
Position Highlights:
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including physicians, APCs, RN case managers, and social workers.
- Provide comprehensive care primarily in patients’ homes, with flexibility for office visits as needed.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions, facilitate treatment decisions, and prescribe interventions.

Compensation/Benefits:
- Base salary plus a potential $50,000 annual quality bonus.

Required Qualifications:
- M.D., D.O., or M.B.B.S.
- Board certification in internal or family medicine.
- Active Texas medical license and valid DEA license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fellowship in Palliative Care or Geriatrics.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
