Department/Unit Summary

12-hour shifts: 6:45 am-7:15 pm and 6:45 pm-7:15 am. New grads are welcome. Provide direct patient care using the nursing process.

Essential Functions

  • Administer medications and perform clinical treatments.
  • Document patient care and monitor conditions.
  • Assist with daily living activities.
  • Coordinate care across disciplines.
  • Educate patients and families.
  • Advocate for patient well-being.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards.

Frye Regional Medical Center is a 355-bed hospital in Hickory, NC, part of Lifepoint Health, dedicated to making communities healthier.

Qualifications and Requirements
Current state RN license required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • ASLS certification preferred.
  • Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in stressful environments.
