Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for administering physical therapy treatments as directed by a physical therapist. Aims to restore function and prevent disability after injury or illness. Assists patients in achieving their maximum performance while adapting to their capabilities. Coordinates and supervises physical therapy technicians, participates in departmental operations, and engages in performance improvement and CQI activities. Contributes to budget formulation and ensures accurate patient charges and documentation. Involved in infection control, equipment training, and safety programs.

EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Current State Physical Therapy Assistant License and BCLS (CPR) certification.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a physical therapy assistant.
