Marion County Adult Behavioral Health is hiring mental health therapists for our expanding Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. In this role, you will provide therapy to individuals with serious and persistent mental illnesses (SPMI) while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, flexibility, a passion for community engagement, and creative problem-solving abilities.

Recruitment Bonus:

  • $2,000 for new employees starting between January 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025, included in the first paycheck.
  • Relocation Package for those moving from outside Oregon:

  • Up to $3,000 reimbursement for moving expenses.
  • $3,000 relocation bonus (prorated based on FTE) upon proof of Oregon residency.
  • General Duties:
    Provide assessments and treatment for individuals and families, including crisis intervention services. The primary responsibility is to deliver assessment and treatment services to individuals with complex needs.

    Supervision:
    Work under a supervisor who assigns tasks and reviews outcomes for effectiveness.

    Typical Duties Include:

  • Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Providing individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices.
  • Coordinating case management and community resources.
  • Participating in crisis assessments and developing safety plans.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
  • Engaging as a collaborative team member in treatment planning and crisis intervention.
  • Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field or a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or occupational therapy with state licensure.
  • One year of postgraduate experience in behavioral health.
  • Must obtain licensure or credentialing within 30 days of employment.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history.
  • We offer a retention bonus of $3,000 after six months of continuous employment and tuition assistance up to $20,000 for professional development. Marion County provides a generous benefits package for eligible employees.
