Their offerings facilitate the production of various chip cards, including ID, contact, and dual interface cards, as well as multimedia cards and smart labels for access control and supply chain management. Muhlbauer’s technology is utilized to personalize Virginia Driver Licenses and other state licenses, safeguarding documents against counterfeiting and alteration.

Muhlbauer, Inc. is looking for a Field Services Technician in the Newport News, VA area to install, troubleshoot, and train users on machines and systems. Ideal candidates should possess skills in electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and software, along with being proactive, self-motivated, and organized.

Job Duties:

  • Install machines and systems at customer sites
  • Provide acceptance and training for systems
  • Repair and maintain operational systems
  • Offer production and hotline support
  • Follow procedures for service events
  • Document service interventions

    • Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Two or more years of machinery maintenance experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including 90 days of training in Germany
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass background screenings
