Precision Pulley & Idler, a leader in conveying components, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer – Weld Process Manager in Pella, IA.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Welding Engineering, Welding Engineering Technology, or Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering with welding emphasis, or equivalent experience.
  • CWI or CWE certification.
  • 25% travel required, mostly domestic.
  • Certification in international welding standards (beneficial but not required).

Essential duties:
  • Lead the welding certification program across multiple locations.
  • Provide innovative welding solutions for production and quality control challenges.
  • Integrate and modify welding equipment to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage medium to large-scale projects and budgets.
  • Engage with contractors and suppliers for new technologies.
  • Optimize welding processes for cost and quality.
  • Review customer welding specifications.
  • Conduct weld failure reviews and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop cost-saving initiatives and support continuous improvement projects.
