Job Description
**Job Title: Deputy Sheriff Academy/Lateral (COM)**
This position includes both Deputy Sheriff Trainee (entry-level) and Deputy Sheriff (journey-level) roles. The Deputy Sheriff (Academy/Lateral) is designed for applicants currently enrolled in or graduated from a law enforcement academy.
**Responsibilities:**
Patrol assigned areas to maintain public safety.
Respond to emergency calls and incidents.
Conduct investigations and gather evidence.
Prepare reports and testify in court as needed.
**Requirements:**
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Completion of a law enforcement academy preferred.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
