**Description:** Must reside in Northern California! **Job Summary:** Under minimal supervision, the Lead Coder is responsible for leading, training, coordinating, and reviewing the work of assigned coders. This role involves providing assistance, advice, instruction, and in-service education in coding practices. **Responsibilities:**

• Lead and mentor coding staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Review and validate coding assignments for quality assurance.

• Conduct training sessions and workshops for continuous education.

• Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve coding issues.

• Stay updated on coding regulations and guidelines.

**Requirements:**

• Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS).

• Minimum 3 years of coding experience.

• Strong knowledge of coding software and tools.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
