**Job Title: Communications Dispatcher (Lateral)** **About the Job:** The Communications Dispatcher operates a range of advanced emergency communications equipment to efficiently dispatch sheriff/police and fire/medical resources. This role is part of the non-sworn Communications Dispatch series. **Responsibilities:**

• Monitor emergency calls and assess situations for appropriate response.

• Dispatch law enforcement and emergency services promptly.

• Maintain accurate records of communications and incidents.

• Collaborate with various agencies to ensure effective response.

**Requirements:**

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience in emergency dispatching preferred.

Strong communication and multitasking skills.

Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
