Freight Handler Part-Time

Job Description

**POSITION OVERVIEW:** Transport freight within the dock area to and from trailers for loading. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

• Handle freight using motorized and manual equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

• Verify that documentation matches the freight being handled.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.

• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow.

**REQUIREMENTS:**

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in freight handling preferred.

Ability to lift heavy objects and operate machinery safely.
