The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a non-profit healthcare system in Helena, Montana, dedicated to providing exceptional care and a strong community commitment to being the gold standard in healthcare. We are looking for a Paramedic – Ambulance to join this expanding organization.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and enhance patient care management as part of a multidisciplinary prehospital team.
- Conduct thorough assessments and treat medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies.
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, delivering immediate care to the ill and injured.
- Operate emergency vehicles safely in high-stress situations and varying conditions.
- Assist with clinical assessments and treatments in the Emergency Department and hospital.
- Administer immediate treatment en route to the hospital or at the scene.
- Utilize technical equipment like IV pumps, monitors, and defibrillators for patient stabilization.
- Perform invasive procedures within scope, such as intubation and IV insertion.
- Calculate and administer medication dosages based on patient conditions.
- Collect and interpret diagnostic data to promote patient health.
- Continuously monitor patient conditions.
- Coordinate with other emergency services for optimal patient care.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years of practical experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of a Paramedic course required; Associate of Applied Science preferred; annual refresher training needed for licensure.
- Licensure/Certification: Montana Paramedic or RN with Certificate of Equivalency required; NREMT certification preferred; BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS, NRP, PHTLS, and EVOC certifications needed within one year; Critical Care Transport endorsement within 18 months; valid Montana drivers license with a good driving record required.
