- Perform cardiac catheterization procedures, including Percutaneous Transluminal Cardiac Angioplasty, stents, intra-aortic balloon pump, pacemaker implantation, and pericardiocentesis.
- Assist the physician during invasive, noninvasive, and interventional procedures such as abdominal aortograms, central venous lines, and drainage catheters.
- Maintain continuous communication with the physician regarding the patients condition.
- Safely and correctly operate all equipment.
- Collaborate with the department director and clinical coordinator on employee orientation, evaluations, policy development, and supply maintenance.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to radiation safety policies in controlled areas.
- Be an engaged and positive team member in the specials/cath lab unit.
- Perform other assigned duties. This position involves a combination of shift and on-call schedules, with a 7 days on/7 days off rotation, compensated for 80 hours of full-time work per pay period.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience: 1-3 years in Radiology, including invasive procedures, required. Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures preferred.
Education: High School diploma required. Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program required.
License/Certification/Registry: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration required; CVRT preferred. Montana Radiology Technologist permit required. Current BCLS required; ACLS monitoring course within 12 months of hire.
Position includes a combination of shift and on-call schedules.
Employee is compensated for 80 hours of full-time work covering one seven-day stretch of day shifts and call per pay period.
