Purpose of Role

Condair is seeking an Area Manager to help shape our future. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to learn our products and lead a team.

Responsibilities include managing production areas to ensure quality products are manufactured within budget, coordinating processes across departments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Requirements, Key Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe work environment, educate employees on hazards, and drive corrective actions.
  • Manage personnel performance and ensure clarity in job expectations.
  • Supervise staffing, training, and employee relations in accordance with policies.
  • Develop training plans to address skills gaps and support team development.
  • Handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Complete production plans by scheduling personnel and monitoring progress.
  • Manage quality production and collaborate on quality issues.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Lead initiatives for cost and waste reduction.
  • Enforce company policies and standards.
Professional Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or similar; 4+ years in manufacturing leadership, preferably managing 50+ FTEs.
  • Language Skills: Excellent English communication skills.
  • Reasoning Ability: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of MaintainX is a plus.
  • Other: Demonstrated leadership and ability to meet production schedules.
