Job Description

Delivers direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, adhering to relevant standards of practice. Oversees, instructs, and delegates nursing activities to staff. Assists the Unit Director in managing unit operations during assigned shifts.

Required Licenses: Registered Nurse
Current RN Licensure in Kentucky or multistate compact status.

Minimum Work Experience: Preferred two or more years of recent critical care experience.

Required Skills & Certifications:

  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification (or obtain within 6 months of hire).
  • Current American Heart Association PALS certification (or obtain within 6 months of hire).
  • Pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days of hire.
  • NIHSS Certification within 90 days of hire.

    • Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a high-stress environment. Must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
