Job Description: Surgical Technologist

The Staff Pad is collaborating with a client in Montana aiming to set the gold standard in healthcare. We are seeking a Surgical Technologist to support this mission. The Surgical Technologist will assist surgeons during procedures, ensuring the operating room is prepared and that instruments and supplies are well-maintained. Responsibilities include cleaning and sterilizing instruments, handling medications under supervision, and participating in departmental meetings and performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the surgeon during procedures, maintaining a sterile field.
  • Prepare the operating suite with necessary instruments and supplies.
  • Monitor and organize surgical instrument and supply levels.
  • Clean and sterilize surgical instruments per protocols.
  • Handle medications under supervision.
  • Participate in staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure optimal patient care.
    • Requirements
    Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum three years as an operating room technician or certification in OR technology.
    • Ability to function independently in all surgical specialties.
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or GED preferred.
    • Graduation from a two-year Surgical Technologist program preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current BCLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
