Job Description

**Job Title: Communications Dispatcher Trainee (COM)**

The Communications Dispatcher Trainee is an entry-level position in the non-sworn Communications Dispatch series. Incumbents will learn to operate various emergency communications equipment and serve as 911 call takers.

**Responsibilities:**
  • Receive and process emergency calls.
  • Operate communication equipment and software.
  • Provide accurate information to first responders.
  • Maintain detailed records of calls and actions taken.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
