The challenge: Every minute counts in fire response. Climate change is intensifying wildfires, leading to longer seasons, drier fuels, and faster winds. As a result, new ignitions spread rapidly, endangering more communities. Currently, most wildfires are detected and reported by bystanders.
**Responsibilities:**
Monitor fire activity and assess risks in real-time.
Develop and implement strategies for early detection and reporting.
Collaborate with local agencies to enhance community awareness.
Analyze data to improve response times and effectiveness.
**Requirements:**
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Experience in emergency management or wildfire response preferred.
